I Held a $233,350 (KD 65,000) Hermes Crocodile Birkin with White Gold & Diamond Hardware

I went to Hermes in Kuwait to fill out my paperwork for the "wish list" and there it was...the famous Black Crocodile and Diamond Birkin bag that BB said she and her co-worker actually got to examine while they were shopping at Hermes. Knowing that I could never ever afford such a bag I was still so curious of what it looked like up close, inside and how it felt between my fingers. So I asked to see it and within seconds it was on my legs and I was touching it. LOL!

The salesman said it was KD 65,000 and the same price as a Lamborghini. A crocodile Birkin with diamond-encrusted hardware is one of the most elusive and expensive collector’s items in the world. Basically, a well preserved Birkin bag will hold its value better than your luxurious, imported sports car.

It's a beautiful bag and probably the last time I will have the opportunity to hold a $233,350 purse. It kind of makes the bag I ordered from Hermes look like a real bargain. ;P

I was really impressed with their beautiful, spacious store that just opened in Kuwait. Their staff is warm and friendly. You literally just drive up to the front door of Al Hamra and they have valet parking. The only bad thing is when you pick up your car outside they have to drive it on the main road with merging traffic. It's an easy place for a minor car accident. Other than that the location is perfect with easy access for the man in your life to shop. ;)

  2. NJ, I agree with your point but why be so nasty to make it? I don't condone cruelty to animals in any way but I play my role in the hypocrisy as well. Surely you own leather shoes? A belt perhaps?

Expat, I'm glad you had a wonderful experience at Hermes. Hope you had a great holiday overall.

    1. I didn't really mean to sound nasty lol, was just speaking my mind.
Well leather? hmm... nope, I think I have those fake ones but no real leather. I'm not dating an ugly Kuwaity guy for his money. And besides, not every lady should own leather or fur... what kind of world are we living in?.

    2. LOL "NJ"! Your comment makes you sound like the most bitter and jealous person ever. You really gave me a good laugh and I needed it after being stuck in the house from being sick. Thank you!

I'm an American safety Engineer working in Kuwait with a salary over 6 figures. Why would I need to marry a guy for his money? And yes, he is very wealthy and generous but far from ugly. He might not be a male supermodel but he is cute and sexy to me.

    3. NJ, again, I agree with your point in regard to leather and fur. But again, why be so nasty? You say you're just speaking your mind -- that's certainly respectable enough. But then to go on to imply she's dating an 'ugly Kuwaiti for his money'. Are you going to say that wasn't nasty either?

Oh, and if you think 'Kuwaiti' translates to 'money' you're sadly mistaken. Ever think people just meet and fall in love? The idea you assume someone would date for money speaks volumes about you. Projection, dear, projection.

Have a fantastic weekend with your Hubby. Isn't the Kuwaiti weather amazing? I wish it would stay cold forever.

    1. Lol no, I'm just an ordinary university student n_n. Do I have to work for LV to actually care about animals?. Do people function like that?.

@Q80 Snob: No hate, well I hate wasting paper too so I try to be as sustainable as possible and encourage people around me too.
You can get bags with fake leather, there's always an option. The best paper comes from trees... there's almost no other option. Get it?.

    3. Hm I guess you're right. I'm not really good with jokes by old women... haha.

Ok, sorry if I seemed nasty... must've been on my periods. You ladies remember how those days were like right?

Umm, to the lady who told me that not every foreigner who's dating a Kuwaity is some washed up gold digger, I'm half Kuwaity myself don't get me wrong.
But I have known Kuwaities who are dating or married to Kuwaities for their money.
Our neighbour's american wife just recently changed to Islam after over 209 years of marriage after she found that in Islam when a woman marries she usually gets dowry. And that asked for a whole diamond jewelry set! Lol How desperate is that cow?
No duh, you can get fake leather? lol of course I know that...

    4. NJ ~ Not sure about what you're talking about. I think you have
your blogs mixed up. You clearly have issues and so I don't want to
lower myself to your level. I will ask you to respect my blogger friends
and refrain from insulting them. You couldn't hold a candel to them If
      you tried.

  7. WOW! so that's your next blog giveaway? :p.
@ NJ, why the hate? It's not like she bought it. Besides, I don't see anyone crying over paper waste, which comes from trees.

  8. Q80 snob ~ LOL! If I give away a Birkin on my blog it better be from a $$$ rich $$$ sponsor ;P

  9. @ NJ, FYI, it is spelled 'Kuwaiti' and 'Kuwaitis', not 'Kuwaity' and 'Kuwaities'. Get it? You can call me the spelling Nazi ;)
