Speak your mind , people get offended cause they choose to.
Eh, don't worry about it, I piss people off the time with what I write. Oh well, like it or leave it. I enjoy reading your posts and if you like what you do then keep on doing it!
More power to ya E&TC! :)
Go back to your country if you don't like it here! ....LOOL. Don't let it phase you. Here is my standard line for tha hatahs, "This is my blog. You don't need to read it if you don't want to. Turn away now. Go start your own blog if you don't like mine - and you can ever write about me there. I will just choose not to read it."PLENTY of people (including me and all my multiple personalities) value your perspective and enjoy reading EVERYTHING you have to say.Much love.
Last time I checked, you always defend Kuwait and express your love towards the country and the people. Your posts are neither hateful nor inappropriate. Chin up, Expat and keep sharing your and other expats' experiences.
I say speak up your mind. who doesn't like it; is absolutely in the wrong place.
yay!!!! i just knew of this blog tonight and found it catchy and informative. im now a follower. :-)
I certainly agree that all opinions should be published - how else can we challenge ourselves to make improvements in ourselves and society. Which is why I was very disappointed a while back when you posted about luxury purses and I tried submitting a comment challenging us all to consider the famine in Somalia before making such a luxury purchase. Interestingly this comment was censored. So yes, I do think you should be able to post as you wish, and bravo, I encourage you to! Still, you should be willing to publish comments that are not necessarily in agreement to you or challenge what you have written. Best regards!
Anonymous above ~ Why do you assume that I censored your comment on “considering the famine in Somalia before making such a luxurious purchase”? You write that you’re “disappointed” in me (I’m getting that a lot lately, LOL) when the fact is that I NEVER received your comment in the first place. I don’t know if Blogger had a glitch that day (which happens a lot) or you failed to post it correctly? If I had received your comment I would have posted it! Your topic isn’t even controversial or offensive. I believe you are the same Anonymous that posted two times on my Formspring page a while ago that also accused me of not publishing comments on the “IT Bag” post. My response was the same as above…I never received your comment so please try again. If you would like, you can even email me (contact tab) and I will post your comment for you as Anonymous. This is a blog about my experiences in Kuwait and what I decide to post. I could never make every reader happy even if I tried. I do not have to give an explanation for what I do but when you falsely accuse me of censoring your comment that I never received I felt I had to set the record straight. *** I will respond to all remaining comments this weekend when I have free time. Thank you. :D
I very much enjoy the blog and am only disappointed when i visit and find you haven't blogged... you highlight the best of Kuwait and along with LWDLIK and Desert Girl should be revered not condemned.Blogs are about personal opinions - you cannot be condemned for having an opinion even if it differs from that of the thought police. Similarly if someone comments in return, post it, so we all know what narrow minds there are out there / here.I have always welcomed the voice of the National Front / BNP in the UK. It is only through hearing and questioning these loons that the overwhelming majority will hear that their beliefs are founded on quicksand. Please be fearless and keep up your excellent blog.Patrick
