Getting To Know You

Greetings from Kuwait! The land of dust, heat and hummus ;P

I was curious if I had regular readers from around the world.  I would love it if you would comment and introduce yourself. :)  You can stay anonymous if you would like.  Just tell me where you are from (city, state & country) and how often you read this blog.  You can even send a photograph to expatandthecity@gmail.com and I will add it to this post.

I saw another blogger a while back who asked his readers to send pictures of his blog on their computers.   The photographs were really cool and he had a collection from all over the world.  So please feel free to do that or send whatever you would like.  Be sure to ask me any questions you might have about my life in Kuwait or living here.

I would love to hear from you so please don't be shy and introduce yourself.

  1. Hi I am from UK and has started reading your blog from Jan 2011 as that's when I found out I will be moving to Kuwait for few years and thus wanted to find out about life in Kuwait. Thanks to you and your informative blog I have learned so much about Kuwait that now I am not afraid about moving to a new country but kind of looking forward to be there. I would love to make as many friends as possible and really embrace the culture. I have 2 kids and my husband is already working in Kuwait.

Have you checked out the blog: Ladies Who Do Lunch in Kuwait in my Friendly Fire section? The author is a UK Expat with children.

Thank you again for your sweet comment and I hope you will keep reading. :)

One day I read something very encouraging and get very excited and the next I read something discouraging, and get extremely nervous! Enjoy your blog very much - keep up the interesting posts.

Security isn't tight as it used to,Curfew from 2am to 6am, hurghada is so empty compared to how it was ,I've been told Sharm is back to normal .

To be brief things aren't as dangerous as it seems like in the media but you know there are stable destinations which are a lot better than Egypt .I could think of Turkey and Malaysia right now.
