How do you getaway for the weekend in Kuwait? Well my girlfriends and I decided to stay at the Hilton Hotel in Mangof and visit their spa and beach facilities. It's a mini vacation without having to fly anywhere. Some of us were surprised by our sweethearts and treated for our weekend under the Kuwaiti sun.
We chose the Hilton because of their lovely beach and pool. Their breakfast is delicious and their spa has several relaxing treatments to choose from. Even though the Hilton is an older hotel it's very comfortable and friendly for Westerners. You are free to wear shorts and any style bathing suit you would like. Even some of the Kuwaiti girls wear bikinis and we saw them tanning in the sun.
For maximum comfort we chose our own, separate rooms in the main building. My view was overlooking the pool and the beach on the Arabian Gulf. My room was the Queen Deluxe Plus room with a bed that made you feel like you were sleeping on a cloud.
On our last day the reception surprised us with great news. They gave us a very late checkout until 6 PM. Their hotel and spa staff treated us like princesses and my next spa weekend away is already booked for May.

That's awesome. I used to do it quite often, there are several locations in Kuwait that helps with these mini getaways. I never tried Hilton before, but from what you said, and the photos too, it sounds great.

i love hilton beach! i remember in 2007 we rented the one with the pool , it was one of the best weeks ever !!
ReplyDeleteAmeera ~ trust me sweetie, I work waaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooooo much and my life isn't so exciting lately. If it wasn't for him I would probably watch DVD's and order take out every night. I'm just so tired from working on this project that has stolen my free time for so long. He forces me to go out and try new things. The spa weekends are just what I need to keep me alive. I don't know what I would do without him or my friends who rescue me. I'm quiting this job when I get married. Thank you so much for your sweet comments :D
ReplyDeleteJust Noon ~ I love it too! The rooms are more for business travelers but the bed and amazing shower and spa tub made up for it. The beach was mine! I enjoyed it so much. I tried the two hour deluxe spa and it sent me to heaven. ;)
