Another One Bites the Dust...

I woke up to this Formspring question from a reader this morning:

I used to be a fan, but now ur blog looks like its having an epileptic seisure with all the blinking adds everywhere...sell out much?  And worst of all is ur typical-American atitude to the Liberation of Kuwait...u as a yankee take all the credit, forgett

My response:

I’m very sorry if my blog is giving you or having epileptic seizures. Please don't sue me...just stop reading it and I promise you that your symptoms will disappear in a few days. However, I cannot promise that you will not have recurring nightmares. I guess I should add a disclosure statement at the end of each post. Teeheehee.

I wish you the very best in life and I hope you find another blog that lives up to your standards. :)

How dare you call me a damn Yankee! Now, that's offensive! ;P

  3. LOL. That is so offensive calling you a Yankee. You should do a review on grits so that you won't get Yankee insults :p. As far as selling out is concerned, this is a blog, not an indie film festival, for crying out loud. Besides, most blogs do it, how come nobody calls them $ell out? Why your blog of all the Kuwait blogs is accused of selling out? Lol. Regarding the liberation, it's a well-documented fact that the US led the Allied Forces in 1991 and was a main contributor to the liberation of Kuwait. Yes, oil was the issue, and Kuwaut paid for the war bill, but still, if it wasn't for the US, UK, France, Germany, Japan, KSA, Egypt, and the rest of the free world, we would still be occupied by the Iraqis. Politics is a grey area, but that doesn't mean we should forget about who sided with us and sided with Iraq.

  4. Dr. Mo Mo ~ loool, thank you sweetie. This comment really made me giggle this morning.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did I ever take credit for the Liberation of Kuwait? I certainly DO NOT feel that way at all. I do love Kuwait and it's people. :)

  5. Hi Expat, I might sound like a fanboy, but you never took credit and you always say the nicest things about Kuwait and even acknowledge its shortcomings in a civilized & humorous manner. You even did a post defending Kuwait in retaliation to Sean Hannety's ignorant and hateful comments. Sometimes you are more Kuwaiti than other Kuwaitis :D. Gotta catch the Friday Prayer :).

  6. Dr. Mo Mo (aka Fan-boy) ~ don't be late for Friday prayer and thank you for your support.

I didn't mind the comment at all. It really made me lol while I was drinking my morning coffee. It's impossible to please everyone that reads this blog. Am I evil for taking pride in the fact that reading it may cause brain damage? ;P

  13. Haha Formspring makes me giggle all the time with the questions we get -- and some aren't even questions! Haha.

This person should've known better than to call you a yankee when you're a bella from the South, hehe; why don't you put a confederate flag on the banner of this blog to draw the line? ;p

    P.s. Love your response

  16. Lool I don't know why some people do that , attacking others ! While reading their blogs or following them in twitter , if it's bothering you that much don't read !! I keep getting offensive comments telling me that am showing off love life with my husband or attacking my way of writing in English which am actually trying to improve and practice via my blog !

Girl you r the best :)

  17. New Bride ~ thank you so much for your sweet comment. I love your blog and your English is perfect to me. I don't think you are showing off at all. It's nice to read about a happily married couple.

There will always be haters and meanies. They should get their own blog and stop reading ours if they don't like us. :)
