Hannity and FOX News Suck!

This morning while drinking my coffee and munching down on a Krispy Kreme doughnut I began to catch up on my favorite blogs.  My friend, Taz @ Bananaq8, posted about FOX News in Arabic with a video in English.  I started watching the video of FOX News and couldn't believe my ears.  What a bunch of offensive morons! They are spreading false information and putting American troops and civilians who live in Kuwait in danger.  Kuwaitis please know that most Americans do not feel this way at all. I love living in Kuwait and it's my second home.

On his Friday show, Sean Hannity wondered why Iraq and Kuwait hadn't "[paid] for their own liberation" by the United States, and said that America has the right to "go in there...and take all their oil."

Hannity was speaking to his nightly "Great American Panel." The panel was discussing high oil prices. Hannity was incredulous and angry at the prospect of oil prices climbing:

" I say why isn't Iraq paying us back with oil, and paying every American family and their soldiers that lost loved ones or have injured soldiers -- and why didn't they pay for their own liberation? For the Kuwait oil minister -- how short his memory is. You know, we have every right to go in there and frankly take all their oil and make them pay for the liberation."

Thanks Taz :*

  4. Negative comments from the Fox folks are the reason Americans are not globally popular, which is sad because Americans are some of the nicest people around. I'm not being nice because you're an American, Expat. It is true! Hannity is the one with short memory because the Kuwaiti government settled the Gulf War bill 20 years ago. Kuwait was also the biggest doner for Hurricane Katrina, as it made the biggest internal pledge of $500 million, which is officially documented. Hannity's comment about invading Kuwait to take it's oil shows his lack of professionalism and him inciting a hate crime. I would expect this comment from an inbred hobo, not from a major media personality. You are right, Expat. He is putting the lives of Americans living in Kuwait in danger. To the best of my knowledge, the thing about oil prices is that all OPEC members decide on a price based on several policies. Does Hannity know that? At the end of the day, I know that many Americans don't share Hannity's views and that he should've thought of the safety of the troops before saying such ignorant comments. Thank you Expat for your support :D. Thank you for the kind words about your second home :).

  5. Dr. Mo Mo ~ thank you sweetie. You always know just what to write. ;)

You are absolutely correct regarding Kuwait's donation to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. THANK YOU Kuwait. <3

  6. I very much second Dr.Mo.
We know where ur coming from Expat, Hannity represents himself, not all Americans! My father lived 7 years in Boston, and my mother lived one yr in Boulder. We heard nothing but lovely stories about ur nation :)

But, Fox news should apologies! Our Govt. are too nice, that there gonna let this go, and pretend it never happened! We demand an apology from that jerk Hannity!

Thanks for raising this issue here in ur blog, I'm very much appreciative Expat, and u rock! ;)

  7. Ambrosial ~ ahhh, you are so kind. Thank you. :D Yes, FOX News (Hannity) should apologize to Kuwait and the world for such an outrageous statement.

I can't take any credit for the post. I stole the idea from my buddy Taz. ;P He sent me the sweetest email giving me permission.

  8. And that is exactly why I don't bother watching tv. The media is messed up. Personally, I wasn't bothered about what he said, because he's an idiot and I know for a fact that his stupid comment has nothing to do with Americans. But what does bother me is when narrow minded people think that one stupid person is representing an entire nation. What he said is own messed up opinion, he's not the official spokesman of the United States. I wish people would understand that what one person says on tv doesn't mean everyone else agrees with him

  9. EATC: while I don't agree with Mr. Hannity's opinion I am thankful the USA has blessed us American citizens with the right of free speech. some people are just more ignorant than others and don't think before they speak.

  10. Randy ~ I am thankful for that right as well. My blog would be 'off the chain' if I was back in the US and could write whatever I wanted. ;P

When an idiot uses free speech to burn Korans or talk about taking oil from an ally then I have to use my free speech to say they suck! :)

  13. I think stating such opinions are better off monitered or just dropped out compltely, or atleast it should be clarified by the channel or network that it's a personal opinion and the person himself takes full responsibility for his words. Because just as there are -no offense- idiots thinking this way there are viewers that may believe or take it personal!

Having relatives that died in that invasion I didn't like his "opinion" and yes I did take it personal! Since when suggesting wars/invasion was considered funny? Nonetheless I do understand it's his own personal opinion and I
wouldn't generalize it to Americans! lol and for gods sake doesn't he know there are alot of half American kuwaitis? :p

and btw expat, I was arguing a while back with my half American cousin whether such opinions/statements by Americans would effect half Americans /americans in Kuwait? Where you put in such a situation?
