Why are most American men with Filipinos in Kuwait?
This question always makes me giggle. (Especially the look of bewilderment on their face.)
What would be your answer?

The last pic cracked me up Loool! I can imagine the American wives hiring the show Cheaters to fly all the way to Kuwait to catch their American husbands redhanded.

ReplyDeleteI heard it from the guys and that's a myth. It's not about a woman's size, race, color or ethnicity. A woman is different no matter where she comes from. ;) Hot/cold, wet/dry, tight/loose, easy/difficult, excited/uninterested, easy/difficult depends on the individual woman.
I have no idea what you're talking about.. I wish you can write in Arabic ;p

I think it's just that they are the majority of women who can date in public and so it's just a big probability that you will see a mixed Western and Asian couple in Kuwait. Nothing more.

ReplyDeleteI grew up in the Phil. and even women over there would prefer foreign men (esp. Americans) over the local men. It's really in the culture. Somehow it's kinda like,if you marry a foreigner you'll have a better life.

ReplyDeleteI grew up in the Phil and it's not at all uncommon to see Filipino women with foreign husbands/boyfriends. Also it seems that foreigners(esp. Americans) and preferred over local guys. There is this thinking that if you're with a foreigner he can give you (and your family) a better life.
I think it's a big misconception because I think life is pretty much same all over the world and it isn't generally easier anywhere else.
Funky Camel ~ Welcome back :D The American guys I know tell me they would love to date Kuwaiti girls if they could. They think that Kuwaiti women are very beautiful. They are usually told by their companies here that it’s not allowed in Kuwait. I think that's why they don't like it when we date Kuwaiti men because in most cases they can't date the women. (Ha-ha ;) In some cases they do it and some even marry them. One of my American male readers is married to a Kuwaiti and he loves his wife more than anything. Her family accepted him and it’s a sweet love story.
ReplyDeleteWhere do they hook up? The girls usually hit on them and it’s a big business, they network. If a new, Western guy comes to Kuwait then his co-worker’s girlfriend will set him up with one of her friends. The guys tell me if they walk into the Sultan Center they walk out with numbers from Filipinos that approach them. If a few guys go there together they all walk out with the same girl’s number. Then there are the maids that put cards on their apartment doors and offer more than cleaning. The most common place is meeting them at local restaurants, shopping in Fahaheel or online. It would be difficult for an American guy to remain faithful to his wife here because he is constantly approached and after months away from his family they usually give in. The old saying that everyone is doing it, my wife will never know and so on. Plus the Filipinos practically worship the men to get to the Green or at least extra cash by cooking, cleaning, !*#%!@!, massages, you name it they do it. Heck, I would be tempted too if I was a guy. Lool. And if I came from Philippines I would probably do the same thing and go after an American guy for a chance at a better life. I’m just glad I don’t have to do that because most of the American guys here are married, not even close to my age, uneducated, not well traveled or my taste.
Anonymous ~ that is true as well. There are a lot of them and they can actually date in public/private. There are about 5 American men here to every American woman. Out of that you subtract the married (faithful) women, the ones that already have boyfriends, the Lesbians and what is left is a very small number. These American women can be scary looking and still have men chasing them nonstop. The men put on beer goggles to date a woman they don't have to support. (Just a little humor, heehee.)
